Ueda Hiroshi (b.1950) was a member of Nihon Kōgei Kai (Japan Applied Arts Association) and in 1987 received the Kyōto-shi Geijyutsu Shinjin Shō, an award given by the municipality of Kyoto to local, young talented artists.
